My computer is running slow, what reason and steps

When we purchase a laptop or desktop computer, it work smoothly for a few days or months but after some time it start working slow because this can be happen when me make a little mistake. I'm going to telling you some technical reasons that's why this happen. Please read them carefully and put them into practice to avoid experiencing this issue .

Note:-Before completing the procedures below, restart the computer. This is the best and most effective way to resolve many issues .

Computer Running Slow

(1) Auto-startup and Auto-update Programs

When we turn on the computer, some Programs automatically start up and others like Microsoft Windows and antivirus software begin to update themselves in the background and slowing down the computer .

Solution:-

1. Go to startup by click on in the task manager in the computer (click Windows key+x to go there)
2. Pick the Program
3. Disable it to stop Programs from starting automatically when you turn on the computer.

Disable Windows Update

1. Click on start in the computer
2. Type Run in search bar
3. Type SERVICES.MSC in run and press enter
4. A new menu tab will open
5. Select WINDOWS UPDATE and double-click on it 
6. The Startup Type option will be shown in the menu tab, choose the disable option, Press OK, now Microsoft Windows Auto Update will no longer run .

(2) Installing unnecessary software

The computer will start running slowly if the configuration is poor of system and you have unneeded software installed since that software will consume the computer memory and slow down the computer .

Solution:-

Avoid installing unneeded software in the computer, if you must, be sure it will work with the system configuration ?.

(3) Preserving large, Pointless data files

Computer will be slow down if you save unneeded heavy data files  on Desktop, My Documents and C drive, because space of c drive will be reduce and you know operating system is always installed in c drive, C drive must have free space for good computer performance .

Solution:-

Avoid storing large data files in C drive, regularly remove files from the temp folder and recycle bin to keep the free space in C drive .

(4) installation of an unnecessary game

computer will become slow if you install a game that is not compatible with it. If you must install a game in computer, you should either get a gaming system with a good configuration or verify your computer configuration first .

Solution:-

If you have installed a game in computer, remove it immediately by going to the control panel in computer, clicking on Programs and Features, selecting the game, and clicking on Uninstall. This will remove the game and make computer run more quickly .

(5) Direct shutdown by power switch

When you restart a computer after turning it off by the power switch, the computer starts searching the system files, takes some time to stabilize, and becomes slow .

Solution:-

Always use the Shutdown button in computer to power off the computer and wait until it shut down entirely .

(6) Processor Heating

Processor will overheat if it is placed in a warm or low-Air environment, which will cause the computer to run slowly .

Solution:-

Don't utilize a conjected area for the computer and keep the CPU in a cooling area .

(7) Upgrade OS Install in low configuration PC

If computer configuration is very poor and you upgrade  operating system, system will begin to operate slowly .

Solution:-

Check computer configuration before installing any operating system, if it is good, install the latest operating system .

(8) Dust accumulation in the computer

If dust accumulates in some parts of the computer such as motherboard, RAM, Hard Disk, Processor and SMPS, then the computer will start running  slow speed .

Solution:-

Dust that present in the computer should be cleaned from time to time with a blower.

(9) Virus Infected

If there is a virus in someone else's computer and we transfer data from one computer to another computer through pen drive or any other external device or surfing on any unnecessary web site, then virus will come in the computer and the computer will become slow .

Solution:-

Always use legitimate Anti-Virus software, Don't transfer data from infected computers, and avoid visiting needless websites.

(10) A loose Hard drive Data/Power Cable

if the hard disk data and power cables are not tightly connected to the motherboard, Data transmission won't take place properly and the system will function slowly .

Solution:- check data and power cable connectivity between Hard Disk and motherboard .

(11) Hard disc bed cluster

Hard Disk bed cluster impact Hard Disk Performance and Hard Disk Performance impact computer performance 

Solution:- Chkdsk command and Disk Defragmenter Fix Hard Disk error and improve performance, Follow below step for that .

• Run the CHKDSK command 

1. Click on start button  in the computer 
2. Type command in search bar 
3. Command Prompt will Highlighted and select it 
4. Right click on command prompt and click on  Run as Administrator 
5. the system prompts you to. Do you wish to give this  software permission to alter your computer? click on yes
6. A command line will popup. Type CHKDSK there and press enter 
7. system will begin deleting bad clusters. This will fix hard disk error and improve system speed  .

Run Disk Defragmenter

1. Click on start button in the computer 
2. Type Disc Defragmenter in search bar 
3. Pick "optimize drives 
4. Choose a drive, then click "Analyse disc" to see whether the disc requires defragmentation or not.
5. After the system has done analysing, look at the last  column's percentage of disc fragmentation. The disc should be defragmented if the percentage is greater than 15%; click on defragment disc to begin the process. You can repeat this process for every drive.

(12) Faulty Processor fan 

If the processor fan is properly not working, Processor will heat up and the computer will begin to operate slowly .

Solution:-

Check the processor fan speed occasionally. If you are unsure of the CPU fan speed, you can alter it to speed up the computer .
